sound to me like maybe the battery cables are loose, or maybe the cable going to the starter is loose. maybe possible a bad ground.

in the hood
check the battery. mine wont start if its 0 or colder.
On the underside of the hood in the middle unless someone removed yours.
Unless you can tell me what else you mean, I don't believe there is any such god or goddess with a hood.
If the battery is not under the hood, there will be jump start posts to attach to.
Hood. It covers the engine. English call it the bonnet. The back is the trunk, unless its a rear engine car, then its still the hood.
Robin hood was never an animal unless you are talking about the disney movie then He was a fox in the movie
NO....unless your Robin Hood
Under the hood find the carburetor and the gas line leading into the carburetor and disconnect or cut it and try to start the car if when you start the car and gas squirts out its not the fuel pump but if it doesnt do anything it is your fuel pump
I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision. I opened the hood and pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet, but then the hood wouldn't latch. The hood is curved and by pounding out the dents in the front, i had bent the front of the hood upwards, making it impossible for the latch to fully engage. I solved the problem with a few well placed mallet blows near the middle of the hood, which brought the front end of the hood back into its more natural position. This might not be the optimal solution if you hood isn't already banged up, but it might set you in the right direction. I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision.
