mine wouldn't shut off because it had run low on coolant - there wasn't enough to circulate. another symptom was that there was no heat coming from the heating vents, just outside-temp air, as there was no coolant to heat it.

fualty gaskett, or installed incorrctly most likely you have coolant in your combustion chamber, check your oil for coolant.
