if its a lift up handle and wont open your door most probably the rods come out of its slot inside the door
If it`s a "pull up to open" handle, most likely the rods jumped out of their place. Can be solved by anyone by placing back the rods with your own hand after you take the door panel down.

Take the light out. You might have a bad switch in the door frame. When the door closes- it pushes a switch which I believe opens a circuit and shuts off your light. If the switch is bad it wont open the circuit and the light stays on.

the pan will fit on the motor but the car pan wont fit in the truck and vice versa. as the cars pan is front sump and the Dakota is rear
