Why wont it shift out of first the speedometer doesnt work and the abs and parking brake light is on after the tranny swap?

You didn,t say what year it was ? So I'll answer it like this.
I would make sure the SPEED SENSOR that's in the transmission tail shaft is working correctly. REPAIR as needed.
The transmissions MUST be the same YEAR and same kind.
If I new the year and what it was in, I may have given a different answer.
