Could be many reasons such as a dead battery, loose or dirty connections, broken wires, bad starter switch, bad starter, bad solenoid, bad relay, bad or out of adjustment safety switches.
bad transmission..... expensive repair.
Get a new battery, Auto parts stores sell them.
Previous years it has been the drive train belt that would break and then the mower would start but not move. Now my son says it is the hydro state that is the problem and it is too expensive to fix. Has anyone else had this problem?
check the fluid level by removing the plug on top if it is low or mt replenish with spec fluid
YOU CANT, sears wont reprint or even PDF one for a outdated / discontinued model
Yitou can. But its not recommended. It wont run right. Stick with the manufacturers recommended weight.
Answerspark plug if it wont start rings for no compression and also the piston if it wont start and the spark plug will make it bog down if its about fouled out
replace battery & starter solenoid.. possibly carb.
You don't NEED it exactly its just a fancy box that connect your battery wires to the starter. If your lawnmower is clicking/wont start or silent when you turn the key its possible its the solenoid. undo the rubber covers from the solenoid touch the two bolts together using something metal and start it up, bam. you just by-passed the solenoid. (the solenoid will be next to the starter in most cases and have two rubber wire covers on them)
No wont fit, but I have a 42" craftsman grass catcher and would be glad to switch even trade for your 48" catcher
vovlo wont start using key
Because it is a load of cheap Chinese garbage. Buy a Honda! You will buy five of these pieces of crap in 10 years and only one Honda. It will not start for one of 2 reasons. Lack of fuel or lack of spark. You need to determine which one you are missing and proceed from there.
