A blocked heater hose could cause a leak. A stopped up heater core could as well. Or the connector in the Windstar could be cracked.

i replaced my heater core and it has been fine ever since (8 months )

the thermostat is probably not functioning properly...replace thermostat and see if the situation is resolved. Easy cheap fix. Check your coolant level before replacing the t-stat. You may just be low on coolant.

well no damage will really happen the thermostat allows the motor to get to a warm temp with out one the motor will (should) run slightly cooler but in the winter months the heater will not work very good.

Heater plugs in a ford focus 1.8 engine should be changed every 18 months-2 years.

you might want to try flushing your radiator fluid. If it has been a while the corrosion in the water can will cause your thermostat to malfunction. also as a suggestion could be the blend door th actuator is on the heater housing at about knee level on right leg check that

The months have never changed order, but Julius Caesar did add in two new months. He added in the months of July and August so that he and his business partner could have months named after them. This made all the months shorter.

No months were added. There were twelve months in the Roman calendar, just as in ours. Julius and Augustus did not add months named after themselves. The names of two of the existing months were changed to honor them.No months were added. There were twelve months in the Roman calendar, just as in ours. The thermostat you installed was either bad or is installed upside down. Possibly a clogged heater core. Possibly the system needs bleeding.AnswerCould be your control cable is broken. Not familiar with your particular model but look for a cable on or near the firewall near the heater core. You may be able to move it by hand and get the haet you need. AnswerRemove DEX coolant the manufacturer recommends. DEX clogs the heater core. Put regular coolant in it then drive, drive, drive. It will break loose. Mine took nearly 4 months to get the sludge out of the radiator even after flush. But it worked. Manufacturer will never comment about that DEX crap. I have a 98 and I had the same problem..it was my heater core, they arent hard to replace and I dont think they are that expensive

Yes, higher degree thermostat will give you better heat in the winter months. Your cars temp will increase in hotter weather.

If the coolant level is fine, then your thermostat is stuck open. The coolant is not being allowed to get warmed up to create the hot air. A simple replacement of the thermostat is required. The other scenario is their is no coolant due to a leak in the rad , or a hose, or the heater core. If it as the heater core you'd know ( puddle inside the car). Changing the thermostat can be a PITA on this motor and I'd advise you to bite the bullet and pay someone who knows how to do it.

It was Julius Caesar who changed the calendar from 10 months to 12 months

The auxiliary heater in a?æVolkswagen Sharon tdi 1.9 is located under the LHS floor plan of the vehicle. Most Sharon's tend to have a problem with the auxiliary heater during the colder months.

It depend of what filter system you are using. If you drain your heater roughly every 6 months then you should get about 20 years out of your water heater. If your water heater lasts longer than the average life span of 20 years then it would be highly recommended that you replace it.

My 1996 Grand Am SE was always overheating. I thought it was the thermostat, It was NOT that, it was the heater core. I had the work done, it was approx 6 months ago. It cost me 500.00, and that was someone I knew and trusted. You need a new thermostat I just had mine done and the cost was $300.00 I think I got hosed I live in Calgary Alberta the part is only $ 12-$20 but it's the labor involved the thermostat is in a hard to reach place I think back of the manifold. Well, I live in British Columbia and myself and I'm a woman and my guy friend did it. It's not that hard and it only cost me 32.00 for the thermostat.

If you do not drive it often, I would recommend getting it changed every 3 months. That is what many mechanics tell you to do.
