Low coolant? Bad thermostat? Plugged or restricted radiator? Bad water pump? When you turn the heater on you are introducing cooler water from heater core into cooling system.
At the heater core itself.
Not equipped with a cabin filter.
A 1998 Chrysler Town and Country would have a 3.8L V6. That engine has a timing chain not a belt.A 1998 Chrysler Town and Country would have a 3.8L V6. That engine has a timing chain not a belt.
There is no heater motor - the T&C draws heat from the engine coolant which runs through the heater core. What you're thinking of would be the blower motor. That can be found in the HVAC compartment on the right hand side of the vehicle, behind the furthest vent to the right on the dash.
Check the heater core, it is probably bad. It could be heater hose connections to the heater core, but I would bet on the heater core going bad.
the heater core is behind the dash, most of the dash needs to come out and i would get a Chilton or Haynes book.
If the blower is good then the problem is coolant. Something is stopping the warm coolant from the engine from reaching the heater core inside the car. This might be thermostat, heater control valve, blocked heater hose or a blocked heater core. I would suggest letting the car warm up and checking the heater hoses (2) by hand to see where the hot water stops. If there is no hot water at all it is probably a thermostat problem.
A 1993,1994,1995 Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, or Chrysler Town and Country with the same engine would have to same transmission.
A mechanic can reset a Chrysler Town and Country ECU for you. If you would rather do it yourself, you will need to purchase a OBD scan tool and follow the prompts.
The EGR valve on a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country is on the top, front, passenger side of the engine. It is just above the alternator.
A 1997 Chrysler Town and Country would have a 3.3L or 3.8L engine. Both of those engines have a timing chain not a timing belt.
low coolant? Bad thermostat? heater core airbound? control cable not adjusted properly?
