A bad coil pack would not smell like gasoline.
I own a '97 Pontiac grand am where would i find the spark plugs so i can change them?
No it wouldn't the only thing that would fit would be before 997 from 1997-2001 u can interchange
Yes It would if its 2.3L engine size. Also, fits Oldsmobile Achieva of same year. Thanks
yes it should bolt right up as well as the original motor and tranny
the steering wheel..
Why wouldn't it? There is NO difference between a 1999 and a 2000, as of right this second i have a 1999 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4 liter (what your looking at right now) and built it from ground up. I know plenty about cars.
Check your fuse.
a picture of the radio would be helpful
for what motor? a 3.8 L would be 0.060
Where would I finf the relay switch on a 96 Grand Am?.
does my 1996 pontiac ga stall out in park
I would start by checking any leaks in your exhaust and fuel filter area, if there is any leaks throughout the exhaust the smell of gasoline or exhaust may come through into the interior.
You do have a leak or something is wrong with the EVAP system. You would not smell gasoline otherwise. It will take a skilled mechanic to find it.
you might wanna chage the plugs and wires. what other symptoms does the car have. i am having the same problem in my 2003 pontiac grand prix gt
No...The Grand Prix is a G-body car and the Parisienne is a B-Body. Completely different.
Have a Pontiac dealer's mechanic look it over and tell you.
No, because the 1996 Pontiac Grand Am came with a 1.8L rotary V8 and the Chevy Cobalt came with n/a 2.0 that tops out around 110 while the Grand Am can get up to 190mph.
coolant levels or the thermostat
Its going bad.
There can be serveral reasons why this could have happened to you: Mechanical/Technical - if the following is happening seek immediate mechanic help. 1. You are leaking gasoline from damage to: - Gas pipe leading to the tank (you would be able to smell gasoline) - Gas Tank (you would be able to smell gasoline) - Gas Line - line leading from tank to filter and engine (you might be able to smell gasoline)- - Gas filter -(you might be able to smell gasoline) Unscrupulous Gas Bar or mistake at the pump 2. This happens mor often that people are aware but - there have been incidences where it has been aleged full service gas stations attendants scam people by saying they filled your car when they did not. They just read you the price from the last customer and pocket the money. or, it could be an honest although annoying mistake that the pump malfunctioned. You decide which is more likely.
