Had the same thing constantly happen on my '93. Its your EGR valve that's sticking. Nissan uses a plunger type valve that's when sticks stalls the car. Find the valve (looks kind of like a spinning top) and while your car is running reach under and using your fingers move the plunger. This will stall your car. Replace the valve and drive happily ever after. This fix is definitely a DIY as it only takes a wrench and or ratchet.
i work for Nissan deallership. i have seen sentras and altimas coming with 230,000mi and more! Its amazing!
There could be several reasons why a Nissan Sentra service engine light is coming on. The car may need an oil change, tune up, or there could be a major engine problem.
If it is in the same location as the 97 it is right under the dash on the driver's side near the center console. The 97 has three wires coming out of it.
it could be an oil leak.. my boyfriend had that happen to his s10 and he had oil leaking into his exhaust system
You might try to locate them by following the 4 wires coming out of the distributor. There should be a spark plug on the other end of each of them.
Hi, Had similar problem in my nissan sentra 2004, went to cluster specialist he fixed it, problem was in cluster. Pls refer this website http://www.piclusters.com. Person name is "Jorge". Thanks, Ganesan
i have a 2000 Nissan sentra and it sometimes shuts off while moving slowly or when coming to a stop, is there a way to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it
It's under the dash, behind the gauge cluster. The wires coming out of it are Black/white, Black/blue, Black/yellow, Black/pink.
On top of the valve cover there is a hose coming out of it and into the air intake manifold. Removing the hose from the valve cover side will expose the PCV valve.
Should be a pump with a reservoir and a couple lines coming off of it to your steering rack with a cap on top. Remove it and if there is a dipstick on back of it you found it.
Check the tailpipe for contact with the body. A loose hanger that holds the exhaust up may be sagging. The movement of the motor starting will jar the exhaust system.
Check the bulb and voltage coming out of the socket. If there is no voltage then the jumper wire may be bad. Just run a new wire from the working headlight to the non working headlight.
The 2010 Nissan Murano should be coming out in the Spring of 2009 like around March or April. There will be a ragtop/convertible coming out later that year as well.
It might be the catalytic converters. My 2002 had the check engine light on and it was a bad cat.
I had a 1982 Nissan Sentra That had a bad head gasket at about 130,000 miles. Yes you can do it, but you are just putting off the inevitable. That particular year model is widely known to begin with head gasket problems and it just gets worse. I would advise you to unload it as soon as you can because you don't need what's coming down the road. I'm a Nissan fan so don't everybody start saying I'm anti-Nissan. I you owned this particular year model for any length of time, YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!
THERES USUALLY ONE BOLT COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION SIDE, AND ONE GOING TOWARD THE TRANSMISSION ON THE STARTER SIDE, THEN THERES A SIGNAL WIRE, AND A POWER WIRE THAT NEED TO BE REMOVED. pRETTY BASIC AFTER YOU FIND THE BOLT FROM THE TRANNY SIDE
There is not a Nissan dealer that is located in Gamebridge Ontario. There is not a confirmation, at this time, from Nissan, that there will be a dealer in this city.
check your exhaust system there should be a wire running in to your exhaust tat is your o2 sensor good luck There are two o2 sensors, one in the engine and one coming out of the Cat Converter in the exhaust system.
Pipe coming out of the fuel tank
it depends on where its coming from
Open your hood and locate the upper radiator hose coming from the top of your radiator. this hose should go straight to the thermostat housing. You will need to drain the radiator and remove the hose. there should be three ten millimeter bolts hold it on remove the bolts and replace thermostat.
Here is how to change a 2008 Nissan Sentra third tail light. (The one in the back window)Press in on both sides of the interior cover and pull back. You will have to give it a good pull. Once the cover is off you can either use a pair of pliers or disconnect the wire harness. Use a pair of pliers to twist off a 2 prong plastic piece that has 2 wires coming off of it. This will then reveal the light bulb or you can remove the whole cover by pressing a little clip on the top back of the connector. Good luck sorry for not being very good at typing directions.
