Why would engine oil pressure suddenly drop completely while cruising or coasting a 1985 Ford 351w after changing sending unit gauge oil pump?

Ford gauges are always suspect. Never trust OEM gauges, especially older ones. It may be a bad ground somewhere along the line, or it may be an obstruction in the oil pickup tube. It could be a bad install, but probably not.

You should have at least 20 lbs. of oil pressure when hot at idle, and 10 lbs. per 1000 rpm when cruising.

If your talking about commercial jets, the cabin pressure is equivalent to the pressure at 8,000ft AMSL when at cruising altitude. Max differential pressure is around 7 PSI.

Air pressure is constanly changing so it helps.

changing the temperature or surrounding pressure of a substance

Choices; low pressure, changing pressure, high pressure, no pressure.

As high and low - pressure areas move the barometer readings in their paths change.

yes decreasing the pressure of a gas can decrease its temperature

Metamorphic rocks are produced by changing other rocks with temperature and pressure underground.

Increasing the pressure increases the boiling temperature

What pressure of 152kpa a gas has a volume of 524cm3 The pressure is decreased without changing the temperature until the volume of the gas is equal to 8.00x102 cm3 what is the new pressure?

Yes. While there is more to it, the tire pressure is quite important to the rolling resistance of the tire. The higher the pressure the lesser the rolling resistance and the longer the coasting.

no, because it is the same throughout, except if the temperature and pressure is changing

yes, if you apply pressure to an object it will change the state, by changing the shape of it

Because tha altitude influences the air pressure, and the air pressure influences the wind resistance. The higher the plane is the faster it'll go for the same amount of throttle.

Well, how old is it, how many miles are on it, and what weight oil are you using now? My 1991 with 274,000 miles using 5w30, runs about 40psi cruising, and 20 at idle. If I use 10w40, it rus 45 to 50 cruising, and 35 to 40 at idle.

in hydrodynamics pressure is inversely proportionate to speed. ie. Resting water has the greatest amount of pressure.

The pressure is reduced to one third of the original pressure. The pressure will stay the same you are only changing the volume

then i'll ask a question to: how do you know that the answer is completely true which is shown by the pressure gauge?

cuz it feels like changing ok?!

it doesnt That is really bad answer

I use it to breath by changing the volume of my chest.
