He gave 'hints' about how he would do this, but no details. He also told the German People that he would give jobs to all. He would get the Ruhre back from the French, indeed, all the things that people wanted. A kind of Heaven for the German People, after the black years following the end of the War to End all Wars, WW1. He forgot to mention anything about starting another War, and never even 'hinted' at the Hell that he led the Jews, and Germans into, nor mentioned, the Hell for the rest of the World. It pays to read the 'Fine Print' Sometimes!!!

It got so bad that a loaf of beard was 6 million marks (Germany’s currency), children played with money in the streets and people burned money to keep warm. This is very historically significant because this was one of the things Hitler promised to demolish once he was the leader of Germany. Hitler was an amazing public speaker and promised he would “tear up the hated treaty of Versailles” and restore Germany to greatness. This is also historically important because every German hated the treaty and voted for Hitler because he promised to demolish it. Also the Treaty of Versailles became the scapegoat for Hitler. He blamed all of German’s problems on the treaty and promising that without it Germany would once again be restored to its former grandeur.

because they thought the main invasion would come at pa de calais. when the invasion eventually came in Normandy the Germans could not counterattak because they needed hitlers permission and he was still asleep and noone wanted to wake him. when they did finally counter attack all they could do was slow up the mass of troops comin into France daily. their defeat was by no means rommels fault or the fighting Germans. also the allieds ability to prevent the Germans knowing about the invasion. the parachute operations on eitherside of Normandy prevented the Germans from getting organized.
