Because there are TWO different FUSES used for what you're describing. One for the dash and the door. Another different FUSE is used for the signal and hazard lamps. The main fuse panel you need to check is located on the left side instrument panel which is (directly to the LEFT of the interior lamps "intensity control") The 1996 Grand Am has TWO fuse blocks. One INSIDE the vehicle for the instrument panel, and one located under the hood which is called the engine compartment fuse block. It is located directly to the left of the car battery under a protective hood. The wiring circuits in your vehicle are protected from short circuits by a combination of FUSES, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, AND FUSIBLE LINKS. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems. After opening the instrument panel fuse block, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure to replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating. There is (diagram layout located inside the removable panel door) describing the location of each fuse, circuit breaker, and fusible link, and what each is used for in your vehicle. If you ever have a problem on the road and don't have a spare fuse, you can just borrow one from another slot that has the same amperage. Just pick a feature of your vehicle that you can get along without -- like the radio or the cigarette lighter -- and then use that fuse to replace the bad one. (Just make sure it has the same amperage) and replace it as soon as you can.
got citreon xantia with a warning light coming up which is a picture of an engine with arrows inside any ideas
Check for a bad ground
Dash lights and tail lights are on the same fuse.
because emotions are what you feel because of what has happened to you. ideas just comes up without warning. that why they're called ideas!
Its probably a stop lamp switch, most common part for a esp/bas/abs lights. but can also be bas travel sensor, ect.
that symbol is part of the TCS, traction control system. light on in dash means the TCS is turned off...turn it back on
More detail: the turn signals slowed down gradually and then stopped working. All lights still flashed when hazard lights switch was activated. The bulbs and fuses are all okay, and I have replaced the hazard flasher (which I think is a combo hazard/turn signal unit). Can't see any other flasher unit under the panel, don't know what else to try. Any ideas?
check the neutral safety switch. Mine does the same thing. also you might not have reverse lights.
replace flasher for for turn signals
Many Puritans did not like the new ideas,so the Presbyterians split the groups into "old lights",people who disagreed with the revivals, and "new lights",people who favored them.
Some ideas for outdoor Christmas decoration are nativity scenes, snowmen scenes, raindeer, lights on shrubs and trees, lights on the house and mailbox, and artificial snow.
If it is only one of the passenger side turn signals, it has either a shorted power lead or an open ground; check the ground first. If both front and rear turn signals are not working, check/replace blinker module.
check the fuses and the flasher.
The alternator may not be charging. Take it to your local auto parts store and have the charging system tested.
Check the headlight switch.
lantern lights and mybe even sand :)
Sounds like the switch/sensor is bad. Often the guage sensor and warning light sensor are different.
It could be the dimmer switch that will adjust the dash lights
What time is it? It's time to go to the Grand Canyon! Adventure time! Only at the Grand Canyon! The Grand Canyon, " You won't get off to a rocky start on your memories." I have to do a brochure on the Grand Canyon and you have to put a slogan in it. These were some of my ideas.
If the lights work a little but appear dim then i would suggest a dodgy earth?
I would first check the fuses. Find the fuse box, above your feet on the drivers side, and review the panels diagram. Pull the fuse associated with the lights and check if it's blown. I would bet on that 99% of the time. The other answer would be to check if there are any lights in there in the first place =P
Some window decoration ideas for Christmas include hanging Christmas ornament figures or put lights hanging around the window. More of these ideas can also be found online.
One question I'd have is whether or not your tail lights are working. I had the lights on my dash go out (the shifter lights still worked though) and my tail lights and parking lights were also out. After much investigation, it ended up being that the turn signal switch had gone bad. In order to replace it, you need to remove the cover around the steering column - we couldn't get the lower part of the cover off and subsequently also had to pull the steering wheel, then remove the turn signal switch (which also controls the headlights, parking lights, tail lights, etc), pop in a new one, and enjoy a life of dash lights and tail lights once again.
