more than likely the problem is your ignition switch in the steering column. see if you can turn your key back just a little bit with it running and everything should come on...seen it before
push the parking brake ,before starting the engine
The one with the wires running to the headlights :)
Well, the daytime running lights are on whenever the car is running and in gear. They're off when you have the headlights on. So, your service light Doesn't come on when the headlights are on?? If you switch the headlights between on and off (with the car running and in gear) does the service light follow?
headlights
Headlights, And Any other application you have running (ex. Radio).
your headlights will burn out faster and could possibly blow a fuse, but you would go through headlights and a drastically increased rate if you use headlights when they are unneeded.
Try applying parking brake
Headlights run off the battery not the ignition...
I have an 2005 and the headlights on it will dim, and then brighten back to normal. I bought it brand new, and it has done it since I bought it. I actually took it back to the dealership, and asked them about it, and they said that Chevy knew that it would do that, but that the car would keep running, and that there was nothing that they could do about it. Hope this helps.
You have to go to the dealer and ask them to turn them off, otherwise they leave them on as running headlights. They will do this for free.
What year is the vehicle? Did you check the fuse?
