If the air bag light to the right of the steering wheel stays on after the vehicle has been started, it means that there is something wrong with the air bag system. After the air bag light flashes a couple of times it should turn off and stay off. It's not possible to turn the system on or off. The problem can be complicated to diagnose and repair, so a trip to your favorite mechanic is in order. Only in 2-seat vehicles can the front passenger side be deactivated (for safety when transporting a small child).
