I'm not familiar with your vehicle, but have to assume that "shifting through gears" means you have a manual transmission. If that is the case, then I suspect that the "battery light" coming on occurs WHILE the engine has dropped back to IDLE. The charge indicator light is designed to alert the driver that more electricity is being drawn from the battery than the charging system is able to put into the battery. The electrical output of the alternator is proportional [at lower rpm] to the speed that the alternator is turning. The condition you describe suggests a couple of possible causes: 1. That the IDLE SPEED of your engine is set TOO LOW [USUALLY, and PROBABLY, the most likely cause] or 2. For some reason the output from the alternator is weak [very unlikely]. I suggest that you have your vehicle's charging system checked out by a QUALIFIED mechanic or autmotive electrical technician. The correction may require no more than an ADJUSTMENT of the IDLE SPEED. j3h. Becuse the RPMs of the engine go down and the alternater is not producing as much as the engin is using. Replace the alternater befoe it kills you battery...

A battery and a light bulb are connected by wires in a simple circuit Where do the electrons that flow through the wire come from?

They come from the battery. The battery is a power source designed to let current flow from the positive side, through the circuit and back again.

Does closed circuits work?

Closed circuits work, they have all the wires connecting from the battery, the switch and the lightbulb that is needed for the electrical current to flow through the battery through the closed switch into the light bulb and back into the battery. Therefore it works.

When electricity from a battery causes a light bulb to light - is this a physical or a chemical change?

Glowing (heating) of the bulb's filament due to the flow of current through it, is a physical change. The current supplied by the battery is due to chemical change within the battery.

Do you need a battery to see if a paper clip help light bulbs light?

Yes you do need a battery because the paper clip is usually used for an alternative for a wire and the paper clip is what the electricity travels through, so yes you do need a battery.

What is on off switch?

Say it is a power circuit, a light bulb is bright from the battery, flowing through the wires and the light bulb. There is a switch controling the power that goes through, so if you switched the off switch off, the power will no longer be flowing through(the light bulb wouldn't be bright any longer). Is there any possible way to decrease the speed of light without any form shifting of the light beam?

When light passes through anything it slows down. It is only when it is passing through a vacuum that the 'constant' speed (approximate value of 3×108 metres per second) applies.
