Where is the alternator in a 1994 Toyota 4Runner?

Open your hood and look at the front of your engine. There is a pulley connected to your power steering pump on the right side of your engine. It has hoses coming out of it. If you look below it your alternator should be there. It has a smaller pulley connected to it.

What would cause a 1998 Plymouth Breeze to stall when you turn the AC on?

It could be the AC compressor. With the engine and key off, try turning the compressor by hand. The belt should be connected to a pulley that drives the clutch. With the engine off the cluth is disengaged so you should be able to turn the inner part of the compressor pulley even though the outer part is connected to the belt. If it won't turn at all, it's probably siezed and you need a new compressor.

What causes a ticking noise in the engine of a 2002 Trailblazer at idle?

my manafold is leaking on my trailblazer. I does cause a ticking noise.AnswerIf its a faint ticking noise its probably just the fuel injecters Answer2002 Trailblazers have piston sleeves that were a common problem. The piston slap can be a problem and some older engines had a recall due to the possibility for the sleeve to drop and hit the crankshaft. The trailblazer has throttle body fuel injection. Not individual injectors.I have a 2003 Trailblazer, and upon investigation, I come to learn that just before the infamous fan clutch goes out, it will start to make a ticking sound at idle. I thought it was a pulley or the belt, but within a month the fan clutch finally went. Locking up and sounding like my engine was revving too high as I drove. Repair cost vary, but make sure they use the upgraded fan clutch to avoid replacing it again in another 40,000 miles.

How does a centrifugal clutch work?

The center of the clutch is attached directly to the engine crankshaft, when the engine rotates faster the centrifical force spins weighted arms that are attached to the center of the clutch to the outside casing of the clutch forcing it to spin when the arms touch it. The outside casing acts as a pulley for a chain or a belt, separated from the center of the clutch by bearings so that it does not spin until the arms touch it.
