I had the problem of the odometer and tachometer both being dead. In Dodge's wisdom they put a couple of resistors that can't hack it on the instrument cluster. If you pull out the cluster and look at the circut on the back you should see the burn marks. If you resolder the connections expect a short term(Like a month or so) fix. I sent mine to a Mr. Whizard's, try searching on Google for a web site he did a good job on mine and from the site fixes a lot of clusters from a lot of cars.
