something is telling the injectors to give MORE gas. have you ran the codes? Thot that was why we pay more for cars now? High dollar computers...LOL Idle surge is common.. http://www.dsm.org/how-tos/tttt/tttt3.html is old but good troubleshooting information. At least it gets you a start. i had a bad throttle position sensor. Also, aftermarket blow-off valves will do it. Try the ICM (Idle Control Motor) it is to the left of the throtle body. This will cause a surge after the engine warms up. Test old ICM with a ohmmeter. should read approx. 27ohms betrwwe pins 2(common) and 1 and 3, then between pin 5 (common) and 4 and 6. good luck
