It may be a blown fuse. If you have kids, maybe one of them unplugged it for you. Look at the rear window. You can see where it plugs in from the inside.

AnswerI had the same problem and discoved that there is a module where the FM entenna (it's in the rear window) and the defrost are plugged together. This module was the problem.

When a fuel pressure regulator leaks on your 1999 Oldsmobile alero can it cause the fuel pump to work intermittently?

I doubt it. I have a 01 Alero that had to have a new fuel pump at about 100,000. If you have a leaking regulator, you need to replace it. It is a fire hazard. The symptoms for the bad fuel pump were normal function then it would just stop working. When it cooled down it would work again.

How do you add freon to a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero?

The 1999 Oldsmobile Alero does not have Freon in the A/C system. It contains R134 and not Freon which is R12. As I am sure you do not have the proper equipment to recharge the system plus the fact it is illegal to add refrigerant to a system with a leak, until the leak is repaired, take it to a professional and have the leak repaired. You have a leak or you would not need to add refrigerant.
