Most fossils are found in sedimentary rock, because igneous and metamorphic rock undergo great heat and pressure when forming, where as sedimentary rocks undergo much less pressure and heat to form, better preserving the fossil
You would tend to find lots of fossils in sedimentary rocks because when sedimentary rocks progress further and further though the cycle the rocks fossils would be destroyed. For example the sedimentary rocks are subjected to high amounts of heat and pressure to turn into metamorphic rocks and then become molten completely to become igneous so the fossils would be destroyed. Also sedimentary rocks are simply made up of compacted sediment so fossils can easily become trappedin betweenthe layers of sediment which is another reason the vast majority of fossils are found in sedimentary rocks.
because sedimentary rocks are made of particles cementing together and in the particles there could be fossil.
Limestone
Fossils are most likely to be found in sedimentary rock.
Sedimentary rock is where we look for fossils.
Sedimentary rocks
Fossils would not likely be found in rock other than limestone, sandstone, and shale, or rock such as marble that has morphed from these sedimentary rocks. Fossils can basically be find in most Sedimentary rocks, but not in Igneous rocks because they are formed in volcanoes.

yes most likely
No. They are usually found in sedimentary rock.
no, fossils are found only in sedimentary rock.
Fossils are nearly always found in some type of sedimentary rock. Limestone is a sedimentary rock which very commonly contains fossils, as is coal.
Most likely, fossils are found in shale, limestone, sandstone, coal, and chert.
Sedimentary rocks that formed organically typically contain calcite. Fossils are most likely to be found in sedimentary rocks.
