I have a 1994 Ford Taurus and i had the same problem last summer and it's because your gear shift is comming out of place. There is a bolt that needs to be tightened and it's located under the steering wheel up by the pedals. If you tell a mechanic about this bolt that is loose i am sure they will know which one you are talking about. This all applies for sure if you have the automatic on the dash not the floor. It's all because your car is not actually in park even though it looks like it is. Trust me, i struggled with that problem for a long time.
