CHECK YOUR SENSORS!! I have a 94 new yorker that did the same and it was the crankshaft position sensor. There are like 3 different sensors. Air, water, and crankshaft position sensor. It may be a $30 part! A mechanic will tell you to get the part from Chrysler because it lasts longer but mine from the auto part store has lasted 2 yrs.

You more than likely have a defective unit. i own a '93 new yorker and my abs lights were lit on my dash, a few days later my brakes completely failed. ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT CAN EXPERIENCE EXCESSIVE BRAKE ACTUATOR PISTON SEAL WEAR CAUSING PUMP-MOTOR DETERIORATION. there is an open recall on this part, i got it replaced for free (a several thousand dollar job) less the cost of a diagnostic computer fee. here's a link with more info: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/1991/chrysler/new_yorker/recalls/index.html http://www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls/09-int/1993/chrysler/new-yorker/index.html although the model year is '91 for the link ik believe they were still using the same abs assembly in 93. hope this helps.

Our 94 New Yorker began dying when slowing down and dropping below a certain speed. For us, it was a sticking EGR valve. Had it cleaned once, a few years later did it again. Had it replaced, works okay now.
It is on the Drivers side fender. There are three relays on the outer fender very close together. One relay for airconditioner compressor clutch one for the fan. If the Fan does not work try turn the airconditioner on and it starts a minute later its not the fan relay. A temperature switch has most likely failed located by the thrermostat. Unplug the switch by the thermostat and the fan should automatically run when engine is started
