Something is wrong with your ABS. You will need to connect a scanner that can read brake codes. Unfortunately, the typical OBDI system will not read ABS codes. The problem can be anything from a loose wire on a wheel sensor to a failed ABS control module. Unfortunately, many shops don't know what they're doing, so they always want to replace the most expensive part because that's the part they don't understand. Good mechanics are difficult to find.
