for me it was over heating(caused by a relay), then loss of coolant, and another reason was because of the fuel pump going bad

To be sure you should have the codes pulled; If I were to guess, I would say your Oxygen sensor sensor is faulty causing the light to come on. Once you slow down, it is able to calibrate again. I hope this helps you. Mark

One posibility to check would be the timing belt. If it broke while driving your car will stall and will not start again. If it was the timing belt you may have a more costly repair bill then just the belt.
