Why would your Subaru Impreza gain low end power but lose boost during high speed driving after installing headers uppipe on your 04 WRX?

Because those parts require engine management (EM)- especially on an 04+ due to the OL/CL fueling delay and other issues. Now, if you don't have EM, there's your problem. If you do, it may be that the tune is off.

I have run into the same thing with this kind of car. On the steering column at the top they have a switch that will turn the running lights on or turn them off. check the switch you may have hit it and turn it on.
