Its sounds like the distributor or distributor cap/rotor,something in the timing may be off. High tension cable may be broken, or connectors poor. Or you may have cranked so much that the engine is flooded with fuel, so wait a couple of hours and try again.
Was there gas in the gas tank? How old is your car? Sometimes your fuel filter gets clogged up. Sometimes your carburetor gets clogged up. Sometimes your fuel injectors get clogged up. With alcohol in the gasoline, you seldom have water in your gas tank because the alcohol mixes it with the gasoline so it no longer causes a problem. Is the gas cap tight on your gas tank. If it is not tight, that can cause the problem you describe. If your gas tank can not hold pressure, your car can act like it is out of gas. It is easiest to check your gas cap. Then replace your filter. Then clean out your gas line. If it still does it, hook it up to a computer. You could have computer problems. Modern cars have a number of computers. Electronics go bad. People make good money fixing them. Do everything else first.
alternator may be the issue
the corrupt senator will not be running for office again.
You need a new battery or it has a battery cable connection problem. The battery needs a full charge too - like driving around for an hour to charge it back up. A voltmeter is useful to read battery voltage when cranking. 12.6 volts =full charge. When cranking it may drop to 10 volts. If the starter won't turn over use the voltmeter to check for the 12 volts on the battery and then starter battery cable connection point.
battery needs replacing, make sure you replace it with a battery of correct cranking amps
Check timing belt
I Cranked It And It Was Missing, Back Fireing, And Wouldnt Stay Running. I Had To Get It Home So I Drove It. It Barely Had Power Everytime You Tried To Give It Gas It Would Back Fire And It Would Go Dead. Ive Had A Cranking Problem For Like 2 Yrs Now. It Does It Off And On Everybody Told Me That It Was The Fuel Pump I Put A New One In It. And In Bout 2 Days It Started Doing It Again. I Think There Connected (The Cranking Problem And The Running Problem)
HEY , POSSIBLY COULD MEAN THE FUEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND RELAY/FUSE. ITS CRANKING ? SO ITS GETTING FIRE NOW THE FUEL IS PROPERLY DOING ITS JOB , CAUSE ITS NOT STAYING RUNNING? I WOULD TRY THOSE OPTIONS.
Alternators gone bad.
alternator may be the issue
If you can jump it and get it running again, drive it for a few miles and then it dies again, it is the alternator. Buy a new alternator and it will fix the problem assuming you do not have bad connections "wires" in your charging system "your alternator and your battery".
Maybe fuel vapor lock. Hard to pinpoint the cause with no 'hands on'
It is doubtful that a warrant was issued for a single ticket. Your driving privileges may have been revoked. And you might be in trouble if you get pulled over again.
There are several reasons that can cause your 1995 Buick Century to quit running. The most common reason is a lack of fuel. A bad fuel pump can cause the engine to quit running.
try the fuel pump relay. idk i'm having problems with my suburban too
ya
The clogging of your fuel injectors or carburetor jets may induce vapor lock.See the link listed below:
they put it on your record for the next 12 months and if you get pulled over again you get a ticket since you already got an warning
