- Warped brake discs. Replace them if the shaking only occurs under braking.
- Bad wheel bearing. This causes the front wheels to wobble, especially when braking.
- Bad tie rod ends. If you have over 100,000 miles the tie rods may begin to develop "play" in them, meaning the fit is sloppy.
- Unbalanced tires. Rotate them front to back. If the problem goes away, then you know the balance is off.
- Improperly mounted tires. If a tire was recently installed, loosen the lug nuts and tighten them in a star pattern, not a circle. The wheel can wobble if not done correctly.
