Generally, the tail "light" and the tail light "blinker" are two different bulbs. Check the blinker bulb first. If it is OK, then it is likely a fuse to a flasher unit.
if the headlights work it is bad wiring if they dont its a fuse
A pickup truck with four rear wheels on one rear axle would be considered a "dually".
Nope, so long as you have tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights. Don't forget mud flaps behind your rear wheels. And you MAY have to have a bumper or "ICC bar" to protect from a rear end accident. ( it keeps a vehicle in a rear end accident from driving under your truck)
my truck started to smoke from the rear end when I was driving down the high way and now its jerking around WHY or What would be the cause
The drivetrain of a truck would be all the components from the engine to the rear drive wheels.
The speed of a semi truck is determined by the powerplant, transmission, and rear end gear ratios. Take three trucks.. let's say, in this case, three Freightliner Classic XLS... they have the same motor, same transmission, but different rear end gear ratios. One truck has 3.36 rear ends, one truck has 3.70 rear ends, and one truck has 4.11 rear ends.. the truck with the 4.11 rear ends would be the slowest of the three, but better suited for particularly heavy loads. The truck with 3.36 rear ends would be the fastest. The fastest truck I've ever driven was a Peterbilt 389 with a Cummins Select 600 horsepower motor, 13 speed Eaton Fuller transmission, and 3.25 rear ends. It was capable of doing over 140 Miles Per Hour.

A 1977 Chevy pickup truck would have rotors in front and drums in the rear
Check the ground wire for the rear lights in back underneath where it attaches to the frame/body/bed. It may be broken, corroded or loose.
replace the rear bulb if one side is out, if you had a bad fuse none of your turn signals would work.
The turn signals are not fused front and/or rear. If the rear are not working you need to check for power and grounds for the lights.
in florida you must dim your headlights from the oncoming traffic at 500 feet. and from the rear at 300 feet.
