Electronic rodent repellers should not harm a ferret - it emits a sound that is inaudible to people and non-rodent pets
My experience with electronic pest repellents is that they do work. I have used them to keep possums and rabbits out of vegetable patches, birds and also kangaroos out of orchards. They emit a sonic type frequency that the target animal doesn't like, it doesn't cause them any harm or to humans either. The noise is undetectable to humans. Be Happy, Barry
I've read about ferrets eating snails, apparently without harm. I would make sure that there was no treatment or poison that snails could have ingested. I've read about ferrets eating slugs, I'm not sure why. Maybe they are not getting their nutritional requirements in their diet.
Ferrets (in the wild) are eaten by numerous birds of prey as well as carnivorous mammals. Black-footed ferrets face threats in the wild from predators and disease, natural enemies includes coyotes, great-horned owls, golden eagles, prairie falcons, badgers, bobcats and foxes all prey on ferrets. Black-footed ferrets are preyed upon (eaten) by larger carnivorous mammals (such as coyotes), hawks, and owls. from another contributor: The history of domestic ferrets is not fully know, however it is known that ferrets are a breed species not a natural one. Therefore, ferrets have no real enemies. However, anything that likes to chase anything small and furry will be capable of causing harm or even kill a ferret. I have ferrets and cats who live together very happily
Sadly, yes. Unfortunately mainly due to habitat being destroyed and harmful rodent poison which can harm the owls too.
Electronic cigarette is an electric device that contains nicotine and nicotine free e liquid, it satisfied our hunger of smoke without harm. It doesn't have second hand smoke.
You should never put mice or any other rodent of different species together. They will attack eachother, and most likely kill eachother if it gets to the extreme.
Ferrets are carnivores (they are not rodents) and have been used for centuries to exterminate rodents and hunting rabbits. Because of their natural instincts, they might prey on rodents, birds or reptiles. Ferrets are not safe around mice, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc. From other contributors: Yes, the ferret would harm the guinea pig. It would be very likely that the new ferret would latch on to your guinea pig at the first opportunity and your guinea pig would probably die of shock. Having said that, I do have two guinea pigs and three ferrets (and now three newborn baby ferrets)...but I make sure that they never ever get to see each other, and that works out fine for everyone. Hope this helps.
Safety precautions that individuals should follow for electronic balances are to make sure users have the right voltage and to make sure that they have the correct power supply. Failure to do this can lead to harm.
Most of these answers don't understand the question. The question was can I use a ferret shampoo on the DOG. As most ferret shampoos are very gentle, they should be very safe to use on dogs which can generally tolerate more stronger shampoos. That is the reason stronger dog shampoos are not recommended for ferrets.
The lifespan of a ferret depends on how well they are taken care of, male or female. Ferrets that are neutered at a young age are more prone to Adrenal Disease. What does cause harm to the Jill that if she is not mated, she remains in season and this causes high levels of estrogen that can eventually lead to her death.
If your ferret has stolen and eaten a small amount of whipped cream, don't worry as it won't harm her/him. However, do not give your ferret any type of cream or cow's milk product (ie; milk, cheese) as ferrets are lactose intolerant. Consumption of these could cause health problems.
Rodent's teeth: they never stop growing and need to be constantly worn down, otherwise they can harm their gums and inner cheek. They have two longer top and bottom teeth, which are sharper than the rest.
