Why does England have a king and queen?

The United Kingdom (which includes England) hasn't had a King
since 1952 when King George VI died. The present monarch is Queen
Elizabeth II and her husband is Prince Phillip. When she dies, her
eldest son Prince Charles, will become King Charles III. It hasn't
yet been decided if his wife will become Queen.
Asked in England
Will there be another king of england?

There hasn't been a king of England for about 400 years. If you
are referring to the United Kingdom (which includes England), the
present monarch is Queen Elizabeth II who will be 86 this year.
When she dies, she will be succeeded by her eldest son Prince
Charles who will become king, and when he dies he will be succeeded
by HIS eldest son Prince William who will then become king..
Asked in Prince Charles
How will Prince Charles become king?

Prince Charles (1948- ) will become King either upon the death
of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II (1926- ) or if she decides to
abdicate. However, if he dies before his mother then the throne
will pass to his eldest son, Prince William
(1982- ). If he does become King then he will become Charles
III.
The last King Charles we had in this country was Charles II
(1630-1685).

Will England ever have another king?

Yes England will have another King, once Queen Elizabeth dies
Prince Charles will become King, and once Prince Charles passes
away Prince William will inherit the throne. But of course Queen
Elizabeth has the power to choose one of the two before she passes
on if she wishes. Technically, this is incorrect. There hasn't been
a king of England for 350 years. Current monarchs are king (or
queen) of the United Kingdom - not just England.
