In short......yes
Yes it would and how big the vacuum leak would determine how bad.
Sounds like are running "metal to metal" . Brake linings need to be replaced ==== Another thing that can cause hissing too is if your vacuum assist has a vacuum leak in it. As you apply pressure it it is forcing air out of this leak. This can sometimes be heard inside the vehicle if it is big enough. It usually causes you to have to use more force on the pedal to stop also.
I don't know what vehicle you own. Break power booster is bad that's the big round thing under the hood mounted to the firewall its either a leak or you have a vacuum assist problem...sounds like more of a vacuum assist issue or master cylinder problem than that of a fluid leak, ck your fluid level.
A vacuum leak in the vacuum assist for the brakes. It is the big round thing that is behind the brake mastercylinder. Check the vacuum connections to this.
That IS a sentence - A small leak can sink a great ship. It means that little things add up and cause big problems.
They will leak if you pee a lot and do not change it.
Yes....big time!
When you have a big vacuunm leak your car is not going you be able to suck the gas it needs into the intake because, the air it needs to do that, is coming from somewhere other than the throttle bore. So to stay running, the choke will have to be partially closed to help suck more gas down the intake. I know this because I asked the question yesterday and found out for myself today by trial and error!
It sounds like the coolant is low or there is an air pocket in the coolant system. If it heats for a short time and then stops, the heater core must be out of warm coolant and only air is left in it which will not give off any heat through the core. Another cause could be the doors on the heater system. I think they are vacuum operated on these cars but I'm not sure. A big change in the vacuum due to an occasional leak could cause this. Both reasons above assume the the heaterr fan is working properly also.
That is disgusting. I hope not.
