Probabally. If you were driving the car and it cut out for no apparent reason and you tried to start it again you have more than likely bent the valves that let the fuel into the engine/exhausht gasses out. If so you will poob need a new engine, if however you didn't try to start the car after it died and in some rare cases even if you did you should be ok. Get it checked by a professional mechanic. DO NOT TRY TO START THE VEHICLE.
