It is the samething. same distributor.
yes I just instaled a 1990 in my 1988
None of the dashboard lights work on my 1988 Prelude. Why?
Monsters - 1988 All in a Day's Work 1-21 was released on: USA: 6 May 1989
The 1988 cavalier and or jbody cars use a coil pack. You do not have a distributor and if a ignition issue is present replacing one or all coil packs are the answer.I originally stated it could have had a distributor but,was incorrect on my first response. As said if you replace the coil packs unhook your negative battery cable prior to any electrical work to prevent and problems and safety.
How long should it approximately work a car distributor?
It does not have 1. If it won't work, then check the fuel pump fuse and relay. You may also have a bad ignition module in the distributor causeing it not to work. Could be a # of different things.
Yes, the 1989 motor can be used. You will have to transfer the accessories, intake, distributor, etc. over from the 1993 motor to retain the EFI.
A 4L60 (NOT a 4L60E) from a 2WD pickup will work. It MIGHT be possible that you'll need to use the original bell housing from the Caprice, although I can't for sure that this is the case.
No the distributor gear that is on the end of the distributor is to small for the big block cam shaft.
If it has a distributor, then that is what drives the oil pump. The camshaft is what makes the distributor turn.If it does not have a distributor then the gear on the oil pump slides over the front of the crankshaft and turns when the crankshaft turns and that is what makes the oil pump work. Early 99 models had a distributor, and the late 99 did not have one.
yes!
distributor no because 98 is the first year they made v6 for all accords
