well there is this one species of duck called the
Anas Platyrhynchos
that eats human flesh on rare occations. This duck is in the heart of the Amazon Forest
We have a pair of domestic geese (different breeds) that have mated for the first time. The goose laid 18 eggs, but, just today, (18 Mar 2013) my son came in and reported that she had kicked an egg out of her nest, then pecked it open and ate it. So, yesterday, I would have said I can't believe it, but, today, I know that they will. I'm wondering if she just figured out she had too many. Another site suggested they will do this if they are getting weak and tired. These geese are vigilantly defending their nest, it has to get in the way of feeding and resting.
