Yes, but be sure not to let any blood touch the test strip. To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1-2 days before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * wait for the results!

actually this is incorrect...hcg only appears after the egg has fully implanted. so if this spotting is implantation bleeding you should wait a few days to test again after the spotting has stopped.

∙ 18y agoIf you are pregnant it will show up, unless it is too soon. It is best to wait until the bleeding has stopped to take a home pregnancy test. A blood test may be taken while you are bleeding.

I have had 5 pregnancies and with 3 of them I had bleeding, one of them I had 3 regular periods in the first 20 weeks with spotting. so its very possible to be pregnant and still have your periods. the only way to find out if youre pregnant is to be tested, either a home pregnancy test or a blood test (which would be the most reliable) Goodluck
