Baby brine are really too small for a mandarin, you will need to raise the brine shrimp up to a larger size.

You can, they will eat shrimp readily, but make sure uneaten shrimps are removed, becease they rot very easily.

Supplement food such as bloodworm, krill, brine shrimp, are well known for color enhancement for fish. Both freeze dried and frozen versions can work. For brine shrimp, newly hatched baby brine shrimps are the most nutritious, it requires a hatch kit to hatch your own brine shrimp from eggs which can be bought from varies pet stores online.
