On a post 1995 stock Buell, no, a Sportster air filter will not fit. On the older tube frame Buells, you may adapt an air cleaner system that will accept a stock Sportster air filter.
This is due to EPA requirements making all enigines vent the crankcase gases through the carburetor to be burned. Unfortunatly, Harley Davidson designed the Sportster vent configuration through the heads and DOWN (gravity) into the carburetor. This setup allows raw oil to be pushed into the air cleaner at times (especially when the oil is hot and thin) and leak out the air cleaner and onto the bike, etc.
They mean running the motor without an air cleaner. Some people used to run open carbs on street bikes but even if nothing big gets in there, engine wear is accelerated.
a vacuum cleaner uses air to create suction. in a vacuum there is no air. Therefore, the aswer is NO.
Normally if it's coming out of the air cleaner, it's either the filter or a bad seal. But in my case it wasn't either. Turns out one of the bolts on my oil pan cover was loose. I put on some thread lock and crancked it back in. Hopefully that fixes it.
An air cleaner is a device which filters or cleans air, or an air purifier.
It is on the air cleaner lid.It is on the air cleaner lid.
Anywhere from 62-67. With that taxes paid (new slip-ons, air cleaner), 70-73. These figures are at the rear wheel of course.
The filter in a vacuum cleaner separates dust from air. Air is allowed to pass through whereas dust is trapped by the filter and caught in the bag/cylinder of the vacuum cleaner.
in the air cleaner
No 240sx has a thermostatic air cleaner, only an air filter
A car air purifier works by removing particles of air pollutants, such as dust, pollen, smoke, and bacteria, from the air you breath.
Air cleaners will work moderadetly for cigarette smoke, but nothing can keep it out completely.
