If the dog is in extreme pain and there is no hope or is sick with a terminal disease and in pain then yes, euthanasia is the most painless way over the Rainbow Bridge. Each owner will know when the time is right for their own pets to pass over the Rainbow Ridge, they will see it in their eyes or in their pain that can no longer be controlled, then it is time. I highly recommend each owner should be WITH their pet at that time, petting them, comforting them and let the last thing their beloved pet see is their owners face near them comforting them, loving them. I always ask for a sedation injection to be given first before the final injection. It is more soothing for all.
A.Yes, the vast majority of veterinarians will euthanize an animal that is suffering.
If a dog has rabies, then a humane society MUST kill the dog. it depends if its a no-kill shelter or not. You need to call and find out if they euthanize dogs or not.
As a collection, the various dog pounds, shelters and humane organizations euthanize the most animals every year - they have to manage their on-site populations of abandoned animals, and in many cases they have no choice but to euthanize for either humane reasons (severe illness, traumatic injury, etc) or for population control reasons (no room, unlikely to be adopted, etc.).
The humane treatment of animals is what is practiced in shelters such as the Humane Society, so that they be healthy.
It is to help abondoned/injured animals. They give the animals care, food, water, and shelter. The Humane Society also lets you adopt animals as pets.
In the Humane Society, there isn't a time were animals have been there for "too" long. SO the answer is nothing happens. The animals stay til rehoming point.
depends on the society
The Humane Society. They have lots of animals and you can find a wide selection of animals

They kill more animals than they "rescue"
The services that are currently offer by the humane society are animal rescue and adoption as well as checking into the well being of animals in that jurisdiction.
The humane society is good to have because they offer a chance for homeless animals to be adopted into a loving family. People should adopt from humane societies because when you adopt, you save a life.
