Yes, as both cats and ferrets are carnivores it is likely that a ferret would be able to get some benefit from cat food. However, that does not guarantee that cat food has all the nutrients ferrets need. A ferret-specific food might be a better choice; or if that is prohibitively expensive, look for an "all-natural" cat food that may have more of the original nutrients from the meat products.

∙ 12y agoYes they can. i give my ferrets cooked chicken,beef and lamb ext... i give it them as a treat when we have it for lunch. I would recomend it but make sure the chicken is soft because one of my ferrets choked on a bit that was hard. He is alright now
