Nuvigil is the brand name of Armodafinil, a non-amphetamine wakefulness promoting agent prescribed for narcolepsy, shift-work sleep disorder, and obstructive sleep apnea. Its chemical structure makes it an ampakine, which is not similar to any other drug tested for on a standard 5- or 7-panel drug screen such as cannabis, amphetamines, opiates, cocaine, PCP, benzodiazapines, etc. However, that does not mean that it cannot be tested for, should a screener choose to look for it specificially.

∙ 12y agoIt probably will not. In my experience, most drug tests have not evolved to include this new family of medications. This includes the first generation Provigil, which was the precursor to Nuvigil.

∙ 10y agoNo It does not. Ive taken many 12 panel drug tests while on nuvigil and nadda 1 came up positive for amps. Or methamps.
