∙ 15y agoNo - while you can rinse with a warm saltwater solution to clean your mouth, the best thing for toothache pain is Oil of Cloves (didn't you ever see "Marathon Man"?(Is it safe?))
Don't get Oil of Cloves from the condiment/spice section of a supermarket as it's not the same. Get it from a pharmacy as they'll have the right type.

∙ 14y agoIt depends on the tooth, and various things, but I've found it to sometimes work fairly well, but usually only for a short time. A concentrated solution, or straight salt works best.
