Will the earth axis shift in 2012?
It would be HIGHLY unlikely. The most probable event to take place in 2012 would be "Nothing unusual".
No. The earth axis shift has already started and has been happening slowly since 20 years ago. It will continue, gradually until it reaches the desired check point. The axis shift has nothing to do with the 3 gorges dam project. It's just an act of nature that occurs when the earth's polarity becomes unballanced. Usually every 100k years (I forgot the exact amount of time but you get the point:0)
There are some reports that the displacement of land masses in Japan may have caused a shift in the axis of the Earth - by about 6.5 inches. That's because of the shift in Earth's mass caused by the 9.0-magnitude earthquake. It may have also shortened the length of Earth's days by about 1.26 microseconds. A microsecond is one-millionth of a second. ~ Look to the related link below .
This simply means that the Earth rotates. The axis is the center of the rotation. This simply means that the Earth rotates. The axis is the center of the rotation. Yes, the earth has an axis, and it is the axis of rotation. The earth is rotating or spinning about this axis, which is a line through the north and south poles. And the movement of the earth around its axis of rotation gives us day and night. Further, because the axis of rotation is not perpendicular to the plane in which the earth revolves around the sun, we get the seasons.
There are alot of catatrophies happening because 2010 is about to happend. We had alot of earthquakes and earth tilted already. In 2010 earth is supposed to tilt of its axis and alot of bad things happen. But don't get scared they said that earth was going to an end in 2002. ---------------------------- ACTUALLY the predicted date for tilt of the earths axis is 21st December 2012. And of course this is a theory...
As the Earth spins on it axis, the stars appear to move across the sky as we see them from the Earths surface. The pole star does not shift much from its position throughout the night though. This is because the axis about which the Earth is turning is pointing in its direction, towards the north (and out towards the south too).
the earths iron core is spinning in the opposite direction than the earth...this creates a magnetic field in which encompasses all the suns harmful ways..with that being said...there is a basic scientific convergence on the thought that a pole could happen suddenly if the earth were struck by a large enough object. ANother seemingly interesting thought is the earth will inheret a pole shift as a direct coincidence of a galactic anlighenment in 2012 which…
