They might, it is in their best interest to work with you. If they have to repossess a truck, it may be more hassle than it is worth. Banks want you to succeed, call and work it out. You can negotiate a higher interest rate and more payments to spread it out further. You get to make lower payments and the bank gets more money in interest. It isn't smart financially, but if you are in trouble and this is your only option, it is better than losing your car and ruining your credit.
