What happens to stars when they die depends on how massive they are. For instance stars the size of the Sun turn into white dwarfs that eventual cool, Stars about 8*thr size of the Sun explode to form Neutron Stars (Pulsars) and very very big stars explode and leave behind a black hole.

Stars do NOT "die" per se. They use up all of their fuel and eventually burn out in one way or another! Nothing ever "Dies" it is just re-purposed by the Universe (God), whatever suits your need.

The fate of a star is determined by the mass of the star. Very large stars will destroy themselves in a supernova, blowing off the outer layers of the star and crushing the core into a black hole.

Stars bigger than about 3 times bigger than our Sun will collapse into a neutron star. Stars like our Sun will eventually expand into a red giant, and then shrink down to a white dwarf star.

That depends on how massive the star is. For ordinary stars like our Sun, or smaller dwarf stars, they don't really "die"; they just shrink into white dwarf or brown dwarf stars. In a few hundred billion years, they may become "black dwarf" stars, but the universe isn't old enough for that to have happened yet.

Large stars burn out more quickly, and die more spectacularly. Fairly massive stars will go nova, and leave behind a "neutron star", while very large stars may go "supernova" and become black holes.

"White dwarf stars do not become supernovas. White dwarf stars are what happens when a normal Sun-sized star has reached the end of its life."

This answer is partially correct. A white dwarf is the final stage of a main sequence star such as the sun. However, a white dwarf can become supernova. A White Dwarf Star may accumulate accrete (material from a companion star) until it reaches critical mass and undergoes a thermnuclear explosion (AKA supernova).

you must understand that understanding the way the stars die, you need to know things about the star's life. In the related links below I posted a good article by NASA.

Drug overdose.... plane crash... crazy fans?

Ahhh.... you mean stars in space. In larger stars, fusion continues until the iron core has grown so large that it can no longer support its own mass. This core will suddenly collapse as its electrons are driven into its protons, forming neutrons and neutrinos in a burst of inverse beta decay, or electron capture. The shockwave formed by this sudden collapse causes the rest of the star to explode in a supernova. Supernovae are so bright that they may briefly outshine the star's entire home galaxy. Most of the matter in the star is blown away by the supernovae explosion and what remains will be a neutron star (which sometimes manifests itself as a pulsar or X-ray burster) or, in the case of the largest stars (large enough to leave a stellar remnant greater than roughly 4 solar masses), a black hole. In a neutron star the matter is in a state known as neutron-degenerate matter, with a more exotic form of degenerate matter, QCD matter, possibly present in the core. Within a black hole the matter is in a state that is not currently understood.

No, a white dwarf does not last forever. A white dwarf will eventually cool to become a black dwarf.

What will the Sun end up as when its nuclear energy source dies out forever?

At the mass of the Sun, it will become a white dwarf - and when that one cools down, eventually a black dwarf.

Is the sun infinite?

No. While for out purposes its supply of power is inexhaustible it will not last forever. Over the course of the next 7 billion years the sun will exhaust the fuel at its core and eventually collapse into a white dwarf.

Is a white dwarf older the a red dwarf?

Not necessarily. A white dwarf is simply the remains of a low to medium mass star that has died. A red dwarf is a low mass star. Since red dwarfs last longer than medium mass stars, one could easily be older than a white dwarf.

What is the final stage in the sun's life cycle?

It will expand and become a red giant

What is a star formed from a white dwarf that has lost its energy?

A white dwarf is the last stage of 97% of star evolution. A white dwarf will eventually cool down, and become a "black dwarf". Black dwarves are not expected to exist yet; to cool down to that level, it would take longer than the current age of the Universe.

What type of stars has a low temperature and high luminosity?

A white dwarf.A white dwarf.A white dwarf.A white dwarf.

Why would a white dwarf become a red dwarf?

A white dwarf could not become a red dwarf. A white dwarf is a remnant of a dead star. A red dwarf is a star with a very low mass.

Are white dwarf stars always white?

No in the life cycle of a star, a white dwarf can cool and become a black dwarf

What is a cooled white dwarf star that is extremely dense?

A cooled white dwarf is a black dwarf. I think you are thinking of a neutron star which has nothing to do with a white dwarf.

What is the lifespan of a white dwarf?

If nothing disturbs the white dwarf it will slowly cool for hundreds of millions of years until it turns to an invisible black dwarf, which if nothing disturbs the black dwarf it will last until the universe ends.
