Is there a sequel to cloverfield?

J.J Abrams has discussed it with people and has said that there is rumors.

He also said if there as going to be a second one, it would be of the same event from a different point of view.

In the First Cloverfield. You can see a man with a camera underneath the Brooklyn Bridge when they walked accross it. This was hard to spot at first. However what I have heard. This could be 1 of many point of views.

No because cloverfield is a American monster movie owned by bad robot production as for Godzilla is a Japanese monster movie owned by toho the only way they have a movie together if toho asked for the rights for cloverfield which most likely wont happen and the fact that godzilla is about 80 meters tall and that's if he's not the original godzilla who was 400 meters tall as for cloverfield is only 40 meters tall so it really wouldn't ve much of a fight
