Will there be a season 2 of fruits basket?

Actually I think there might be a possibilty. If you check Wikipedia (though some might say this is a not-so relieble source) if check around, they say things like:

Second season voice actor

Or if you put in Akito Sohma, where it says her status, it'll say:

In anime, shown as male, but in second season revealed as female.

This might mean that they might be making a second second and its only in Japan right now and they haven't started recording yet, or I'm simply looking at this to hard.

But I do hope for a second season. Check it out for yourself to see if what I'm saying a possiblity or not.

No, unfortunately there will not be a Fruits Basket Season 2. However, the series was completed in the manga, which you can read online at MangaFox and MangaReader if you are unable to purchase it.

Actually there is no "season 2" yet im not convinced that tthere will ever be one honestly because all the rumors point to each year, which is stupid so i doubt there will be

Reasons why-

1. Voice actors don't want to act anymore

2. low budget

3. lost interest

Most likely not. The series started some time ago near the 2000's with the show and manga. They eventually stopped the anime series leaving off into the beginning of the 6th manga. Though, they kept producing more manga's for Fruits Basket. Fans later made a petition to Funimation asking to make season 2 of Fruits Basket, which is still going on FYI. For this reason, the manga ended in 2007, fans had most likely forgotten about the anime, so its easier to just read the manga.

There will not be a second season of Fruits Basket. A petition has been up for a long while but it has reached a standstill. Important aspects of the manga was altered in Season 1, such as Akito Sohma's gender, so if someone does plan on producing a second season in the future they will have to be very creative.

i dont think that there will be the anime only goes up to volum 6 if you want to find out what happens later in the series read the books they are very gpod and go farther into the story.
