Will vinegar induce labor at 37 weeks?
Vinegar will not induce labor. Please don't think about inducing pre-term labor. There's a reason why elective inductions before 38 weeks are such a controversy now. Contact your prenatal health care provider to discuss your concerns and the reasons that you want to go into labor preterm.
castrol oil or get membranes stripped
Yes, nipple stimulation can induce labor if you stimulate each nipple for 20mins each and then wait an hour. You should do this for 3 hours out the day.make sure you rest for an hour or more in between
How can you induce labor or tell how much time is left if you are 37 weeks 3 days a loose 1cm 60 percent thinned and having contractions regularly?
There is no way to predict how much time is left. Inducing labor at 37 weeks is not recommended, as the baby may have complications. The baby will probably when it is ready, & if not, you should be induced at 41-42 weeks.
They say having sex helps , a lot of walking helps. you can talk to your Dr. he/she can set up a date to induce.
Spicey foods, but remember they give you gas and where the Dr. is. Taking a long walk worked for me.
Please go to your doctor/GP. You should not force labour yourself as you can do your baby and yourself alot of harm.
No. If only 35 weeks pregnant, your cervix will not be ripened enough to allow true labor to begin. Will cause you lots of diarrhea and cramps, possibly back pain as well. Castor oil is know to work best after 37 weeks gestation and a ripened cervix.
How can you induce labor or know how much time is left if you are 37 weeks 3 days a loose 1cm 60 percent effaced and having regular contractions?
you are in labor---go to the hospital. if your labor doesn't progress, they will give you a drug pitocin to speed you along. good luck Joymaker rn
Labor is not accompanied by nausea. But if you have it at 37 weeks, check your blood pressure, you might be having preeclampsia.
They can, they likely won't until 42 weeks, however if mom or baby is having a health problem they may induce early because its safer then continuing the pregnancy
No, full term is not until 37 weeks. after that, taking long walks, helps the baby move down, or having sex, always take water w/you if you are out walking. Ask your Dr about getting induced.
This may not be the answer you are looking for, but 36 weeks is a little early to be inducing labor unless it is done for medical reasons and by medical persons. A baby is considered premature at this stage. Some babies can even be less mature than expected at the 37 week mark which is the mandatory limit between premature and mature.
The doctor gives you medication to soften the cervix and a drop to start contractions. Starting labor, and especially before you are due at 37 weeks, is something only doctors do.
If you are 37 weeks, you are full term, it could be labor, sometimes sex can bring on labor. If the pain is really bad go to the hospital. Hope this helps
Honestly, my mother-in-law had lots of balsamic vinegrette dressing in salad and had 2 of her 3 kids literally the next few hours after each time she had it. The third time she was giving the dog a bath.
A baby is considered full term at 37 weeks, but it is up to your doctor to decide whether or not you should be induced earlier than 40 weeks, or at 39 weeks in your case. There should be a medical reason to induce the mother - just being 39 weeks pregnant is not enough! Additionally, if the mother has any complications and is 39 weeks, her doctor will go ahead and induce her. Also… Read More
A normal pregnancy lasts 38-40 weeks. Starting at 37 weeks is not too much to worry about - lots and lots of babies come early.
No it will not induce you if you are not dilated first. I tried it at 36 weeks and nothing happened, not even the runs. ("Thank god) I am 37 weeks on Tuesday and am now dilated 1 and 50% effaced. So I just took 2 tablespoons of the castor oil. It has only been a hour but so far nothing has happened. I am crossing my fingers though.
It really worked for me! Within a week I was thinned and had contractions 3 minutes apart! I was 37 weeks and had a 7lb 15oz healthy little boy with no complications at all! My labor pains were minimal. I believe that the raspberry leaf tea that I had throughout the pregnancy played a part of that as well. Heather Barnes
Chances are pretty soon. Maybe within the next few days. If you dont go into labour then they may have to induce you to speed things up otherwise infection could get to the baby.
between 38-40 weeks. Some doctors induce as early as 37 weeks. Even at week 36 the lungs are not ready.
labor coming on.
You are 37 weeks dilated 2 centimeters and 60 percent effaced and you want to know about inducing labor with castor oil?
Why would you want to induce your labor? There is a very good reason that pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks -- your baby NEEDS every bit of that time to become healthy and strong. I've been there and understand your impatience but give your baby its best chance and let nature take its course. You won't be sorry!!!
My cervix is soft...when will labor start?
The gestation period is anywhere for 38-40 weeks. It could be that your conception date is off a little, or the baby is ready to come out. Having a baby a week early (39 weeks of pregnancy) will not harm the baby. If a doctor wants to induce labor that means the baby needs to come out, and it might be harmful for the baby to stay in. Premature birth is considered to occur when… Read More
I'm not sure what pain you are talking about but they wont induce until earliest week 38 when it's normally full term. But speak to your doctor if they can relieve the pain. That is why they are there, to help you. They wont induce unless the baby is ready for it.
It depends on the weight of your baby. If you are diagnosed with gestational diabetes, your baby's growth will be more closely monitored than if you had a normal pregnancy. The main risk with gestational diabetes is a baby that gains too much weight in the womb due to increased sugar in the blood. If your baby is measuring too big, your doctor may induce labor around 37-38 weeks. Waiting any longer can cause delivery… Read More
Im 37 weeks pregnant and getiing lower backache and pain in stomach and keep going to the toilet just wondered if if could be the start of labor?
I had this happen with my first child at exactly 37 weeks & it was the start of labor. Contact your OB/Gyn or midwife ASAP & they will tell you what to do. Mine told me to head to Labor & Delivery. Good luck!
Natural inducing won't work all the time unless you are somewhat effaced and dilated partially, but it's always safe to wait until you have reached atleast 38 weeks to try anything, as it can harm your unborn child, although full term is considered 37 weeks by most obgyn's, sometimes due dates can give or take 2 weeks that's why they are called estimated due dates.
Premature labor is contractions that occur after 20 weeks and before 37 weeks during pregnancy. The baby is more likely to survive and be healthy if it remains in the uterus for the full term of the pregnancy.
If you aren't yet 37 weeks (full term) and having labor symptoms, you need to contact your Doctor!
I took 2 teaspoons 2 days ago and 4 teaspoons yesterday my stomach still hasn't worked and no labor I am 37 weeks pregnant but gynecologist said baby is ready what can I do?
There's not a lot you can do to start labor. Taking castor oil (which is what I think you are talking about) usually just gives you an upset tummy. You could try the following, safer methods. Go for a walk: the movement and gravity sometimes get things moving Have sex: the prostiglandins in semen may induce labor Those are the only two safe methods. Nipple stimulation also can cause contractions. I would not recommend this… Read More
a premature labor occurs when the fetus has been developing in the womb for 37 weeks or less, a false labor is when the mother feels contractions and believes the labor may have begun hours or days before the actual labor starts.
You are 37 weeks and 2 days and you are dilated 2 and 90 percent effaced how soon should you go into labor?
You may not going into labor for several weeks. Women can walk around 4-5 cm dilated for a while before going into labor. Your body is doing some of the preliminary work for you!
yes but if it gets heavy you may be getting ready for labor having sex this late in the game can make you go into labor
You sure can. I'm 37 weeks, my baby hasn't dropped a bit either. But my doc did tell me I am 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. She thinks I will have a long labor. It is my first.
You are almost 37 weeks and your due date is May 13Th you went to the doctor today and he said you were dilated 2cm and that there was definitly a head down there how long before you go into labor?
Well, they told me the same thing. I didn't go into labor until two weeks later. It just depends on how well YOUR labor goes.
I've always heard walking and sex works. -well i just heard tonight that when you get your feet rubbed it speeds up labor. there is a special place in your foot that if its hit sets you into labor.
Possibly. Go and see your doctor or midwife
Could a woman have labor induced 2 weeks early because of backache or is it more likely that she fibbed about how far along she was?
I don't think they would induce someone because of back pains. But two weeks early isn't always early. The due date can be off by two weeks before or after. It is an educated guess. I can't guess if she fibbed about the due date or not because two weeks isn't a lot when counting the due date. I am 43 years of age I had my 1st pregnancy a year ago... My doctor induced… Read More
ummm.... i think i would contact a doctor with that question....
Yes, @ 37 weeks you are considered full term.
Sorry, it is impossible to determine when the spontaneous onset of labor will occur. The norm is the span of time between 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the given due date. Every pregnancy is different, therefore one woman may go into labor with minimal evidence of cervical change while another woman might be very dilated and effaced for weeks before her labor begins. Pregnancy is our first lesson in patience as parents.
It all depends on when the baby is ready. You can be thinned out and dilated for some time before labor truly begins.
That could bring on labor which is probably what you were trying to do. I would wait till the baby is ready.
Will labor start soon if I am 37 weeks 2cm dilated station 0 and having lots of irregular contractions or can I still have a couple weeks to go?
There is really no straight answer for that. Your baby is fully engaged, but that doesn't necessarily mean labor is imminent. It does mean that your body is getting ready though. Good luck!
it is dangerous, you need to let nature take its course. The baby needs a little more time for the lungs to develop and to gain weight. Also if you are not ready "term" 37 weeks to 40 it WILL NOT work. I did it with my first. You have never had a stomach ache like this will cause!!!! Yuck. It will cause you to expell all your food. Think 2 pounds at least soooooooo… Read More
i have been 1 cm for 3 weeks now! I dont think that how dilated you are really matters unless you are in active labor!
How long does it take to go into labor if you are 37 weeks 4 cm dilated and fully effaced but baby hasn't dropped?
The baby can drop in labor. It is always not easy to distinguish when the baby drops. I have had 3 children and never knew when they dropped I only knew when labor kicked in.
Both my children were earlier than 40 weeks. Thirty-seven and thirty-five weeks respectively. They were both healthy. The youngest had oxygen for about 2 hours, then did well. I worked in a newborn nursery for 18 years, and infants 37 weeks are considered term. Infants of mothers who experience episodes of preterm labor are more mature due to being stressed in utero. I would say yes, in the absence of underlying conditions, a 36 or… Read More
