You can get pregnant at any time that you do not use Birth Control and that sperm are present. You cervix is a few inches inside of your vagina, and if you are lying on your back, it is 'above' your fingers inside of you. Perhaps you mean if you open your vagina? You actually need sperm present from a male to become impregnated. You cannot become pregnant without a male's sperm present in your vagina. But it only takes a single sperm, so if a male has touched his penis, and then touches your vagina, then it is POSSIBLE to get pregnant.

∙ 14y agoIn late pregnancy when the baby is ready, sex can be the final factor as to which this actally happen in order to be able to deliver.
A simple advice for "mothers to be" that are overdue and fed up with being pregnant is to have sex. This is a proven method that can trigger the process leading to delivery but only if the baby is ready.
It is considered safe to have sex during pregnancy. It should not cause the baby any harm.
If you are not pregnant, then it does not affect cervix this way.

If you are not pregnant, and not on your period, then it probably means you are ovulating. The cervix opens up when you are ovulating, and it becomes 'slimier' to help aid the travel of the sperm.
