I just went to court today on a speeding ticket. The Judge told me she would reduce my fine and not assign me any points because of my good driving record. On the Court Minutes it says withheld adjudication of guilt. Which I assume means the no points and shouldn't affect your insurance rates would be my guess.

What is Georgia's law on a speeding ticket with Learners Permit in Georgia?

When you have a learner's permit in the state of Georgia, special rules apply. You are on a provisional license until you are 18 years old and must not receive any major traffic violations within the 12 months before your 18th birthday in order to receive a full license. If you have had a major violation, you will not be able to receive your full license as scheduled.

Is a speeding ticket a strike to your driving record?

It might but I doubt you will not get the job if you have a speeding ticket unless the job in question is a truck driver for a company that trans ports hazerdous materials or a school busdriver A background check could reveal that a speeding ticket kept off of your drivers record by use of differed adjudication will show up Criminal Record as a Misdemeanor. This happened to me two years after the ticket was dismissed. A speeding ticket is a CIVIL violation not a criminal violation so it should not show up, however most who are doing background checks routinely check with the BMV and some reports from criminal may reference civil violations (like provide a link to look at the BMV report)

How long will your license be suspended if accumulate 12 points in 2 months for speeding?

if you receive 12 points within 12 months, for how long wil your licencse be suspended? If the license is probationary it might be different case! But for a regular license the suspension should not be more than 3 months for just the demerit points. It also depends on the type conviction, if it is DUI or something like that!

How many times can you get court supervision?

Generally, it is once every 12 months per district or county. For example, if you receive a speeding ticket in county X and three month later you receive a speeding ticket in county Y you should be able to get court supervision in both cases. Although, if you receive a speeding ticket in county X and three months later you receive another violation in that same county you will be denied court supervision. This is what I have found to be true in IL. I have had court supervision 4 or 5 different times in IL and probation once in MO. Out of 6 or 7 tickets only one has gone on my record.
