An electric generator is a device which converts mechanical energy to electric energy.
An electric generator basically works on two principles, they are:-
1. Electro magnetic induction: This was first discovered by Michael Faraday this law states that when a electric conductor moved through a magnetic field cutting the electro magnetic waves, a electric charge is produced in the conductor.
2. Flemming's right hand rule: Place your thumb finger, index finger, and your middle finger in such a way that all the three are mutually perpendicular to each other. Here if your thumb points the thrust or force and index finger points the electro magnetic field then your middle finger points the direction of induced current.
An electric generator consists of a electromagnet or a huge horse shoe magnet in which an armature is enclosed. The armature is made of copper coils. Now when the armature is rotated, it cuts the electro magnetic waves generated by the magnet and hence as a result of electro magnetic induction electricity is generated in the armature and the direction of the induced current can be found out using the Flemming's Right Hand Rule.
And how the electric current produced later is stored and carried out differentiates between AC generator and DC generator
According to faraday laws of electromagnetic induction, when magnetic flux is cut by conductor, emf is induced.prime mover of generator is rotated externally, which cuted the magnetic flux induced by field coil, then emf is induced.
The working principle of a Gas Generators can produce three different things. Those things are diesel, gasoline, and gas turbine.

Michael Faraday discovered the operating principle of electromagnetic generators.
Generator principle: a current moving relative to a magnetic field will have a voltage induced into it.Motor principle: a current-carrying conductor within a magnetic field will experience a force that will try to push that conductor out of the field.
The principle of a fuse is to have the flow to the conductor. This will give it the power.
because working principle of both the things are same. The motor converts electrical energy in to mechanical via magnetic induction and generator do the exact opposite of this. And yes,you should use 'electricity generator' not only 'generator'.
The working principle of a turbo generator is that of forcing extremely hot condensed air into the piston chamber. The hot condensed air reduces the need for fuel.
synchronous generator is similar to the principle of laws of electro magnetic induction that is "whenever the magnetic flux linking in a conductor that time emf is induced at the ends of the conductor "
A dc generator is a machine which works on the principle of electro magnetic induction $it converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy.
The basic principle of generator excitation is that once the gasket of tie generator is being checked, the generator excits as if the block is not inserted. By egbebu emmanuel
What is the working principle of venturimeter?
A working principle is a regulation or rule that is used so that work can be done. This is a general phrase that can be used in any circumstance from the working principle of a motor, to the working principle of a solar cells.
ic um66 is a melody generator with 3 terminals (1-o/p, 2-vcc,3-grnd)
Generator work on the principle of conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy.EMF - Electro-Motive Force. When a conductor passes through a magnetic field, electrons are forced to move along the conductor thereby creating 'power' (as a simple explanation).
